Checking thickness of aluminium cans
Orbit® LTH is being used to check the aluminium sheet thickness as it comes off the roll.
LTH measuring shaft run out
The high-end laser from Solartron metrology has the capability to 'scan', enabling measurements whilst moving, which is useful in applications such as testing the smoothness of cylindrical objects.
Checking the thickness of a piece part
Two lasers can be used to simultaneously check the thickness of a piece part. This is particularly useful for use on delicate and moving material.
Checking the components of a HDD
With a small spot size, Solartron's laser triangulation units are perfect for taking measurements of small holes and gaps.
Checking the depth of a tyre tread
With up to 40 khz sampling speed, the LTH can determine the depth of tyre tread post-production.
Checking the roundness of a motor shaft
With a high sampling rate and the ability to scan read, the LTH is ideal for measuring the roundness of thin parts, such as a motor shaft.
Checking the height of a fly wheel
With either 2 or 10 mm measurement ranges, height can be determined quickly and easily.
Our reliable and precise non-contact measurement devices are quick and easy to set up, with multiple outputs available into a PC or PLC. Non-contact sensors are used to meet the needs of manufacturers of sterile or delicate products as well as items that might be scratched by traditional touch probes.
